From plastic wastes to new generation batteries
The management of plastic wastes and the investigation of efficient energy storage alternatives are two of the major challenges for the 21st century. Our team has recently worked on procedures for solving these two problems by transforming a commonly used plastic into innovative polymer electrolytes. Through a novel depolymerisation/polymerisation loop, polycarbonate wastes become a feedstock for more sustainable solid-state batteries.
