NATURE summer school: plastic recycling
Last week, we organized, together with the University of Birmingham and the University of the Basque Country, a summer school focused on the current challenges of plastics recycling.
The event took place on October 4 and 5 at the Joxe Mari Korta Building (Donostia-San Sebastian).
On October 4, ESR students from the NATURE project, as well as students from POLYMAT and the University of the Basque Country, had the opportunity to listen to presentations on the journey from the laboratory to the industry of recycling technologies. Speakers from both industry and academia gave outstanding talks on the current challenges of plastics recycling technologies – mechanical, chemical and enzymatic!
On October 5, ABG Intellectual Property delivered a fascinating training on industrial properties for innovative technologies. It was an opportunity for ESRs to better understand how to protect the research they are developing.
This was the first event organized by POLYKEY and we are very happy with the outcome.
We thank all the speakers and attendees for being part of this day.
